▪ What’s a free-for-all zine?
It’s a zine where anyone that can meet zine requirements and rules is in, regardless of zine experience or skill level.
▪ What’s the theme of the zine?
This will be a general zine, we do not have a theme. Go wild.
▪ Are OCs allowed?
Yes!
▪ Are "insert other fandom character" allowed?
No, sorry.
▪ Are ships allowed?
Not this time, sorry.
▪ Is this zine for profit?
No, it’ll be free for download.
▪ Physical or digital?
Digital only.
▪ Are you accepting writers?
YES. And we hope to see lots.
▪ How many artists will be accepted?
This is a free-for-all zine, so as many as we can get. The more the better, right?
▪ Zine specs?Artists:
- Single Page: A5 (1748x2480px), RBG, 300dpi, portrait orientation
- Spread/Double page: A4 (3508x2480px), RBG, 300dpi, landscape orientation
Writers:
- Word count: Max 1k/1.2k▪ Is traditional art allowed?
Yes, but please make sure you have access to a good quality scanner and match zine requirements.
▪ Is photomanipulation/mixed media/craft allowed?
If you can follow zine requirement, yes. But please let us know what you intend to do for the zine.
▪ Are AI generated images allowed?
NO. We value human-made art.
▪ There will be any merch?
Yes, there will be digital merch.
▪ What’s the schedule? There will be extensions?
You can check the schedule here. There will be extensions if asked before deadlines.

Late April (if everything goes smoothly)

▪ What is a “Zine” exactly?
Zine is short for magazine, or fanzine. It’s a self-published original or fanbased work, usually made by few people. They use to be regular publications, now they tend to be one-off releases. On Tumblr zines started as collaborative artbooks, including only visual art. Now you can find all kind of zines from artists/writers only ones, mixed media, crafty stuffs or even cosplay.
▪ What’s a free-for-all zine?
It’s a zine where anyone that can meet zine requirements and rules is in, regardless of zine experience or skill level.
▪ Why only digital zines?
Unfortunately shipping from here is not that affordable for international orders. We would love to, but until we can find a solution we prefer not to go with printed zines.
▪ Are you going to make a "insert fandom" zine?
Check in the upcoming projects page if it’s not already planned. If not send us an ask or an email with your idea and we’ll see what we can do.
▪ I’ve never been in a zine before can I apply?
Of course you can. I’ll try to get the same amount of “new” artists and people who already partecipate in other zines. I also have in mind to make zines for “new” zine artists only, so keep an eye out.
▪ Will you send rejection emails?
The majority of our zines are free-for all, so no rejections. But if we make other types of zines we will send rejection emails. We know it can be tough to get a rejection in a project you like but knowing nothing is way worse.
